Women in Film and Television International (WIFTI) is pleased to present the premiere Chapter Executive Conference (CEC) in London, UK, on Sunday 14 May and Tuesday 16 May.
The CEC is for the purpose of learning more about WIFTI, building your Chapters, sharing ideas, systems and goals, strategic planning, as well as bringing Chapter members together to network.
The following sessions will be covered:
• How to maintain a Chapter and build your Board and staff
• Increasing and retaining your Chapter's membership base and dues
• Chapter programming - mentorship, PSAs, scholarships, education
• Chapter fundraising and sponsorship
• Chapter events - film festivals, signature events
• Social media and PR
• Obtaining benefits for your Chapter members
• How to obtain the best benefit from the WIFTI websites
The conference will provide a shared, confidential take-home package and resources that all Chapters can utilize back in their own countries.
The conference will include a meeting of all the Chapters to discuss the way forward for WIFTI - Chapters will designate one voting member/spokesperson per Chapter.
CEC Delegate Costs
Fee includes Delegate badge to all WIFTI CEC sessions and WFTV (UK) Making a Difference Conference; on-site Continental breakfasts & Light lunches during the 3 days:
Paid up chapters $125 US per person
All other chapters $200 US per person
Delegates are also responsible for their own Flights / London Transportation / Accommodations / Evening Meals - see Accomodations note below.
The conference will be held at the British Film Institute (BFI), Belvedere Rd, South Bank, London SE1 8XT.
In addition to the CEC Conference, WFTV (UK) will be holding a separate conference on Monday 15 May. The WFTV (UK) Making a Difference Conference will bring together top industry experts from the film and TV industry to discuss and share best practices in creating gender equality.
This is an invite only event and all WIFTI CEC delegates are able to attend as part of their CEC registration package.
For those going on to Cannes after, there will also be a party hosted by WFTV (UK) in Cannes as well.
Our anchor hotel is Citadines at Trafalgar Square, a modern hotel in an historic London setting. Our daily CEC meetings are a lovely 12-minute walk (.6mi) along the Thames River to the BFI Southbank. Our CEC Welcome Reception and Wine at 9 will be held close to our hotel. The hotel is also an easy walk to a variety of London restaurants and attractions - lists will be provided: West End Theater District, Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Big Ben, the National Gallery and more. Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations are a 5-minute walk:
